Atlanta Design Festival

The Atlanta Design Festival serves as a vibrant showcase for the design community, celebrating its significant contributions to the global design economy. The festival will highlight the insights from the Atlanta Design Economy Report 2023, which reveals that 111,800 individuals are employed in design-related professions, making up 4.1% of the city's workforce.

This year’s festival promises to unite global innovators in Atlanta, emphasizing the city's role as a hub for architecture, photography, publishing, and cultural innovation. The event will run from September 27 to October 5, 2025, featuring a variety of exhibitions, activations, and events throughout the city, particularly at the Ponce City Market and other DesignStations, which have become a staple of the festival experience.

Among the notable highlights is the return of the Design is Human Awards, which will honor an exceptional group of both global and local design leaders for their transformative contributions across various disciplines. The festival also introduces Creative Exchange Events, aimed at supporting architects, designers, and creative businesses through professional development opportunities.

Additionally, the festival will feature the MA! Architecture Tours, providing attendees with guided tours of some of the most innovative architectural designs in Atlanta, further enhancing the festival's commitment to showcasing sustainable practices in architecture. The theme for this year, 'BE MUSICA,' reflects the idea that design resonates in similar ways to music, through rhythm, repetition, silence, and variation, signaling a future where design continues to evolve through both pattern and disruption.
