Assistant Principal Leadership Academy - Northwest Dallas Cohort

The Assistant Principal Leadership Academy (APLA) provides a comprehensive learning experience for assistant principals through its Northwest Dallas Cohort, helping them enhance their leadership skills and connect with peers in their region. The academy offers both virtual and regional cohorts, with the regional sessions designed to facilitate in-person learning among assistant principals from neighboring districts. This format not only fosters peer collaboration but also helps districts manage travel expenses effectively, making it an accessible option for many participants.The APLA consists of six half-day sessions spread throughout the school year, each lasting from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Participants will benefit from 24 Texas Education Agency (TEA) approved Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits, which are essential for maintaining their professional development requirements. The sessions are structured to cover a range of relevant topics that assist in the development of critical leadership skills necessary for effective school administration.
