ASP Instructor Certification Courses

The ASP Instructor Certification Courses are designed to equip law enforcement officers, qualified military personnel, and pre-qualified private security participants with the necessary skills and certifications to effectively perform their duties. These courses are provided at no cost directly to the law enforcement community, but some may charge a nominal fee to cover expenses. The courses include optional OC Instructor Certifications, which are scheduled throughout the year at various locations, including the St. Louis County & Municipal Police Academy, the City of Toronto Corporate Security, and the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center, among others.Participants must be approved law enforcement agencies or officers to enroll in the courses, which feature a structured application process. The enrollment for each class closes 30 days before the class date to ensure that all qualified candidates have the opportunity to attend. ASP emphasizes the importance of commitment; thus, a refundable security deposit is required upon application, which is forfeited only if a participant cancels less than 30 days before the course date or fails to show up.
