ASP Instructor Certification (AIC)

The ASP Instructor Certification (AIC) is a specialized program designed for approved law enforcement agencies, qualified military personnel, private security, and other pre-qualified participants. Conducted at various locations, these certification classes aim to enhance the skills and capabilities of instructors within the law enforcement community. Notably, ASP offers these certification programs at no cost to the law enforcement community, ensuring accessibility and support for those dedicated to public safety. However, some private AIC courses may require a nominal fee to help cover expenses, and factory-sponsored courses may necessitate a refundable security deposit as outlined in the application.The upcoming schedule includes classes across several U.S. locations, starting with the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office followed by organizations such as Guards in Response/Striker Tactical Systems and the Alberta PSES Training Academy. Throughout 2025 and into 2026, additional sessions will be held at various esteemed institutions including the McHenry County Regional Training Center, Fire Department New York, and the North Carolina Justice Academy. Participants also have the opportunity to earn optional OC Instructor Certifications at select sessions, enhancing their qualifications further. The program's structure is designed to accommodate the needs of law enforcement professionals seeking to enhance their teaching skills and knowledge in the field.
