Aphasia Access Leadership Summit

The Aphasia Access Leadership Summit is set to take place at the historic Seelbach Hilton in Louisville, Kentucky. This conference, which is the seventh of its kind, aims to bring together professionals who are dedicated to aiding individuals with aphasia in navigating their lives. The summit is designed to foster a collaborative environment where researchers, clinicians, and students can share their ideas, research findings, and personal experiences related to aphasiology. The overarching theme for this year’s summit is Progress Without a Finish Line: Living Well with Aphasia, which highlights the ongoing journey for both professionals and individuals affected by aphasia.A unique feature of this summit is the opportunity for participants to engage in Summit Symposia, which focus on cultivating connections and conversations among attendees. These symposia are structured to present compelling and timely topics in a panel format, allowing for a deeper exploration of various themes within the field. Each symposium must be organized by a designated chair and submitted as an integrated session proposal, which includes a summary and multiple participating abstracts. These sessions will consist of presentations from three to four individual presenters, complemented by a moderator, and will conclude with an interactive scientific exchange that encourages audience participation. The selection results for submitted proposals will be communicated to first authors in early October 2026, making this a pivotal opportunity for contributors in the field of aphasiology.
