Annual State Leadership Conference

The Annual State Leadership Conference is set to take place at DeVos Place in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This conference is a key event for the Business Professionals of America (BPA), providing members with opportunities to enhance their leadership skills and professional growth. Participants will engage in a multitude of activities, including 66 competitive assessment events, where the top state finalists will earn the chance to compete at the National Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tennessee. The event is designed to promote social awareness, civic responsibility, and an understanding of the business community among its members.Throughout the conference, attendees will experience a variety of highlights. The event features a parade of presidents, engaging workshops, state officer elections, and a semi-formal dinner. A unique Thursday Night Activity called 'Escape the Plan: A Pirate Escape Room' will add an element of fun and teamwork. More than 100 schools from across the state are expected to participate, fostering networking and friendship among students. Additionally, new and reaffiliated high school chapters will receive recognition during the dinner session, while postsecondary chapters will be honored at the Postsecondary State Leadership Conference. The conference also places a significant emphasis on delegate participation, with each chapter allowed two voting delegates responsible for electing future leaders of the association. Delegates must attend key sessions, including the opening session and campaign rally, to fulfill their responsibilities effectively.Attendees are encouraged to register through the Conference Registration System, which provides essential information about the conference schedule and registration instructions. Special meal requests, including vegan options, can be submitted ahead of time. The conference will also feature a photo opportunity for delegates, with images available for instant download for a donation, allowing attendees to capture memories from the event. Moreover, volunteers from various business sectors are sought to serve as judges for the competitive events, ensuring a fair and enriching experience for participants.
