Annual Session

The Annual Session is a significant event organized by the National Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (NEAFCS) taking place at the Knoxville Convention Exhibition Center in Knoxville, United States. This premier gathering provides a platform for professionals in the field of family and consumer sciences to share knowledge, enhance their skills, and network with peers.

Attendees will have the opportunity to present proposals for either Concurrent Sessions or Showcase of Excellence Posters, showcasing innovative practices and research in financial management topics. Key areas of focus include estate planning, budgeting, savings, credit management, selecting financial services, preparing for home ownership, investing, retirement planning, debt management, and couponing.

These topics aim to equip individuals and families with essential financial management skills.

Participation in the Annual Session is open to current NEAFCS members, and although the primary presenters must be members, team members can include any Extension professional or community partner. Those selected to present will be required to register for the Annual Session, ensuring that all team presenters are actively engaged in the event. This experience not only aids in professional development but also presents an opportunity to enhance one's Vita for promotion purposes.
