Annual Meeting of the Minds Conference

The Annual Meeting of the Minds Conference is a premier event focused on health, safety, and well-being in academic settings. This conference is designed for campus professionals to effectively tackle the pressing health behaviors exhibited by college and university students. It serves as a platform for student peer educators, student affairs professionals, and local law enforcement and public safety officials, alongside professionals from campus counseling, health, and well-being sectors, to engage in three days of professional development and educational sessions. Participants also have the opportunity to network with peers from diverse backgrounds, enhancing collaborative efforts in addressing health challenges on campuses.Hosted at the Marriott St. Louis Airport in St. Louis, this year's conference is orchestrated by Missouri Partners in Prevention, with support from notable organizations including the Central College Health Association, Missouri Department of Mental Health, Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, and the Missouri Department of Transportation. The conference is partially funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, underscoring its significance in contributing to public health initiatives. Key speakers include experts such as Jen Jacobsen, MA, MPH, Gaelin Elmore, Dr. Jenna Wintemberg, and Dr. Fred Rottnek, each bringing valuable insights from their respective fields to address the complexities of student health and safety.
