The Annual Meeting & Conference of the Association of Southeastern Biologists is a premier gathering for biologists across the southeastern United States and beyond, providing a vibrant platform for sharing scientific research, networking, and collaboration. The meeting is hosted in various cities throughout the southeast each year, with Winston-Salem as the designated location for this edition.Participants can engage in a range of activities, including symposia, workshops, and field trips designed to enhance their experience. Abstracts submitted for presentation must be concise, limited to 300 words, and provide a clear overview of the presented project. All presenters are required to register for the meeting, and posters must adhere to specific size guidelines for display, ensuring an organized and accessible viewing experience. Presenters will stand by their posters during designated sessions, which are scheduled for both morning and afternoon slots, allowing for direct interaction with attendees. Furthermore, digital submissions are encouraged to improve accessibility and reduce crowding during poster visits.Oral presentations are allocated a total of 15 minutes, with a suggested format of 12 minutes for presentation and 3 minutes for questions. Presenters are advised to prepare their materials in a compatible format, and it is important to note that switching devices during presentations is discouraged to avoid delays. Lightning talks offer a dynamic alternative for sharing ideas in a rapid-fire format of five minutes with three slides, creating an engaging environment for participants. Additionally, Tribeta abstracts can be submitted concurrently with ASB abstracts, allowing for a broader range of presentations across various districts.
