Annual MCHRI Symposium

The Annual MCHRI Symposium is a key event held at the Li Ka Shing Learning and Knowledge Center in Stanford, United States, dedicated to advancing maternal and child health research. The first session, 'Discovery: Generating High-Dimensional Signals and Associations,' features prominent speakers including Kara Davis, DO, an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Hematology/Oncology) at Stanford, along with Andres Cardenas, PhD, an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology and Population Health, Aydogan Ozcan, PhD, a Professor at UCLA, and Alan Tita, MD, PhD, the UAB Mary Heersink Endowed Chair of Global Health. The second session, 'Causation: Testing What Is Real and Why,' will feature experts such as Manisha Desai, PhD, Professor of Medicine and Biomedical Data Science, and Brian Bateman, MD, MSc, Professor of Anesthesiology at Stanford, along with Deirdre Lyell, MD, a Professor of Maternal-Fetal Medicine.In addition, the symposium will highlight groundbreaking research from rising scientists in a dedicated session. The MCHRI Visionary Leadership Award, presented during this event, honors individuals who have made significant contributions to the Stanford maternal and child health research community. The final session, 'Cures: Bringing Evidence Into Policy and Care Delivery,' will include insights from Jochen Profit, MD, MPH, Professor of Pediatrics (Neonatology), Benjamin Glicksberg, PhD, Associate Professor of Artificial Intelligence and Human Health at Mount Sinai, and Fyezah Jehan, MBBS, FCPS, MSc, Chairperson of Pediatrics and Child Health at Aga Khan University.
