Annual Conference of the Society for Decision Making Under Deep Uncertainty

The Annual Conference of the Society for Decision Making Under Deep Uncertainty (DMDU) will be hosted at The Water Campus, a 6,000-square-foot event venue located in downtown Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA. This year, the conference will address the significant global shifts in political, informational, and social landscapes that are reshaping the policy environment.

As policymakers increasingly adopt artificial intelligence and adapt to new decision-making mechanisms, the conference aims to explore how innovations in DMDU methods can assist a wider range of decision-makers in navigating complex challenges such as economic stability, pandemic response, resource management, and disaster preparedness in an uncertain world.

Key discussions will revolve around critical questions such as the integration of DMDU methods into decision-making processes within both public and private sectors that face rapid changes. The conference seeks to identify ways these methods can be scaled to bridge the gap between science and policy, making them accessible to both specialists and practitioners.

Furthermore, advancements in DMDU methods and tools that can enhance the decision-making capabilities of institutions will be highlighted. Participants are encouraged to submit their insights on methodological advancements, innovative applications, and real-world collaborations, especially those that showcase novel uses of DMDU. The event promises to be a platform for exchanging knowledge and fostering collaboration among decision-makers aiming to tackle the pressing challenges of our time.
