American Guild of Organists Regional Convention

The American Guild of Organists (AGO) Regional Convention is a significant event that showcases the talents and skills of organists across the country. This convention is part of a series of gatherings hosted by the AGO, occurring in even-numbered years with larger national conventions, and in odd-numbered years with smaller, more intimate regional conventions. The convention in 2027 is set to take place at the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel in Baltimore, Maryland, providing an excellent venue for attendees to engage in various activities centered around organ music.

The five-day event features a rich program that includes concerts and recitals performed by internationally-acclaimed organists, offering attendees the opportunity to experience high-caliber performances. Additionally, the convention will host national competitions for young organists, allowing emerging talent to showcase their skills in a competitive setting.

There will be world premieres of commissioned compositions, giving attendees a chance to hear new works that contribute to the evolution of organ music. Workshops and breakout sessions are designed to provide educational opportunities, while networking and social events will foster connections among participants. The convention also includes training sessions for both chapter and national leaders, ensuring that the leadership within the AGO is well-prepared for future initiatives.
