The Additional Neurotoxins Hands-On Training at Boston College is designed to provide state-of-the-art clinical aesthetics training, taught by board-certified Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and nurses with clinical experience from some of the country’s leading hospitals. The training utilizes an evidence-based approach that prioritizes safety and results, equipping clinicians with new skills to expand their practices in the rapidly growing aesthetics market. The course offerings include an introduction to neurotoxins, biostimulators (Sculptra®/PLLA), HA dermal fillers, and advanced techniques for hands-on training with expert supervision. Participants will also have the opportunity to earn a Clinical Aesthetics Injectables Certificate, validating their newly acquired skills in injectables.The comprehensive curriculum includes recorded courses designed to prepare participants for hands-on training, with content available two weeks before and one week after the training sessions. The hands-on training sessions will take place at the Boston College Chestnut Hill Campus, where learners will practice techniques on live models under the guidance of experienced instructors. The training covers essential topics such as client screening, safe injection techniques, and management of complications, with a focus on aesthetic treatments that enhance facial features. Notably, attendees will learn about popular injectables such as BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport®, Jeuveau®, and Xeomin®, which help to smooth out facial lines and enhance appearance. The event is also an opportunity for participants to network and learn about the business aspects of starting an aesthetics practice, including legal compliance and essential service providers.In addition to the educational components, there is a call for models to participate in hands-on training sessions. Interested individuals must meet specific health criteria to be eligible for modeling, including not having certain medical conditions or allergies. Models will receive treatment at a reduced cost, allowing them to experience the benefits of these aesthetic procedures while supporting the training of clinicians. The event culminates in a certificate of completion from Boston College, approved by the American Nurses Association, ensuring that participants leave with both knowledge and accredited recognition for their training.
