Acton Children's Business Fair of Midland

The Acton Children's Business Fair of Midland is an inspiring event aimed at cultivating entrepreneurial skills among children aged 6 to 16. This one-day marketplace allows young entrepreneurs to develop their own brands, create products or services, and engage with customers, all within a supportive environment that celebrates creativity and innovation.

Hosted in the vibrant Downtown Midland at Centennial Park, this fair showcases up to 50 booths, each representing a unique business idea developed by children. The fair is sponsored by Yucca Learning, Centennial Park, the Acton Academy affiliate network, the Acton School of Business, along with the invaluable support of donors and volunteers committed to fostering entrepreneurial spirit in the next generation.

Participants are encouraged to think critically about their business concepts, from marketing strategies to product development, instilling valuable lessons in financial literacy and customer interaction. Each business is given a covered booth area equipped with an 8-foot table to share with another business, providing a platform for kids to directly engage with customers and showcase their creations.

The event emphasizes independence and responsibility; children are expected to take charge of their booths with minimal parental assistance, ensuring they fully experience the entrepreneurial journey. To participate, applicants must pay a non-refundable fee, which not only secures their booth but also serves as an investment in their business education.

The fair not only aims to inspire the participants but also captures the moment through professional photography, showcasing the successes of these budding entrepreneurs to the broader community.
