Participants can learn from the success stories of other young entrepreneurs and engage in games designed to enhance their business acumen.Children can form small teams, with a maximum of three participants per business, and will need to thoughtfully consider key elements of their business through the application process. This includes defining their product or service, planning for startup costs, marketing strategies, and evaluating their success post-fair. Participants will be responsible for setting up their booths, which they must furnish with their own tables and chairs, while a limited number of spots may be available for electricity. Parental involvement is limited to support, ensuring that children take the lead in customer interactions and sales. This initiative originated in 2007 when Jeff and Laura Sandefer, along with other families, sought to ignite a sense of wonder and entrepreneurship in children, starting with just seven young entrepreneurs and 25 attendees in Austin, Texas. The event has since expanded significantly, reflecting its growing popularity and impact.
