Acton Children's Business Fair

The Acton Children's Business Fair is a unique event designed to inspire children to discover their inner entrepreneur. Hosted at Acton Academy Albuquerque Inc in Albuquerque, this fair is recognized as the largest entrepreneurship event for children in North America. It provides an incredible opportunity for young minds to create a brand, develop a product or service, formulate a marketing strategy, and ultimately open for customers at a one-day marketplace. With around 1,500 expected attendees, the event aims to cultivate the entrepreneurial spirit among children while providing them with real-world business experience.Each participating child will have the chance to showcase their very own business, with a maximum of three participants allowed per business. The event accommodates approximately 50 exhibitors, enabling a diverse range of business ideas to flourish. Each business will be allocated a booth featuring a 6-foot table and 1-2 chairs. While the event can accommodate a limited number of booths requiring electricity, it operates on a first-requested basis. Parents of younger children are encouraged to support their children by sitting nearby while allowing the children to take charge of setting up their booths, interacting with customers, and managing sales. The Acton Children's Business Fair began in 2007, initiated by Jeff and Laura Sandefer and a few other families who sought to ignite a sense of wonder and entrepreneurship in their children. From its humble beginnings with just seven entrepreneurs and 25 attendees, the event has grown significantly, now drawing over 115 young entrepreneurs and 1,500 attendees in Austin. This fair not only celebrates the achievements of young inventors but also aims to foster a sense of community and support for aspiring business owners of all backgrounds.
