ABVP Symposium

Welcome to the ABVP Symposium, an essential gathering designed for veterinarians and veterinary professionals focused on advancing species-specific veterinary care. The event features a comprehensive scientific program that includes innovative sessions, hands-on workshops, and inspiring speakers, all aimed at enhancing veterinary knowledge and skills.Among the highlights of the symposium are workshops such as the RECOVER CPR BLS & ALS Rescuer Certification Workshop, which provides six hours of practical training on life-saving techniques tailored for veterinary professionals. Participants will engage in small-group training with canine CPR mannequins and simulation software, ensuring they are equipped with the latest evidence-based CPR guidelines. Additionally, attendees can learn vital intubation techniques for small exotic mammals, which are often challenging to manage in clinical settings. This workshop covers various intubation methods, including blind intubation and the use of endoscopes, allowing participants to practice on anatomical models.Further enriching the experience, the symposium features hands-on training in ultrasound techniques, including Global FAST® Point-of-care Ultrasound. This session focuses on image acquisition methods for abdominal, thoracic, and lung examinations, enhancing attendees' diagnostic capabilities. Another practical workshop includes fish anatomy and physical examination techniques, where participants can perform phlebotomy, ultrasonography, and necropsies on cadaver fish. This diverse range of workshops caters to various specialties within veterinary medicine, making the symposium a comprehensive resource for continuing education.The symposium also serves as a networking hub for veterinary professionals across the United States, providing opportunities for exhibitors and sponsors to showcase their brands to a motivated audience.
